Mauritius is not just an exquisite and cosmopolitan island highly appreciated by tourists. It is predicted to become a spiritual lighthouse for the whole world. Startling, isn’t it? Yet, Malcolm de Chazal, the unique medium who lived on the island from 1902 to 1981, was blessed with several experiences and encounters with that remote past. And for the benefit of mankind, he described them in his book Petrusmok.
For Malcolm de Chazal, the mountains of Mauritius are not only beautiful, but are scriptures in themselves. He reveals secrets about the mountains of Mauritius, which symbolise lofty truths that can be deciphered by those who excel in the science of mountain divination, claims Malcolm. The great number of revelations bestowed on Malcolm de Chazal led him to wonder whether the island is not a geographical crossroad of spiritual knowledge.
Malcolm de Chazal was right, for what he has revealed in his writings corresponds with the vision of both Swami Paramananda and his spiritual master, Swami Veervasantha. For instance, he predicted that Mauritius has a principal role to play in the forthcoming great global spiritual revolution. It will be the very island of Mauritius that will be the leading force in bringing about a global spiritual revolution to make the world become one family.
It seems astounding that Mauritius will be the starting point and centre of such a spiritual revolution! But why can’t it be so? Why should it always be Asia or the Middle East? What is missing in Mauritius? It contains all the necessary ingredients to favour unity in diversity and various religions already co-exist here. And we have mystics too. There is an under-current of spirituality that is gathering momentum in Mauritius.
Mark Twain made the famous statement, “God created Mauritius first, then He copied the paradise from it.” Mauritius was also known as the star and key of the Indian Ocean during the colonial days. All these point towards the same direction – Mauritius has the potentiality of becoming both a material and a spiritual paradise.
